This Military Mum Does Not Know What She Would Do Without SNOO

Shortly after Emily McFarland found out she was due with her first baby in November, she learned that her husband would be deployed the following January.

'I knew I would be handling a lot alone. I was working, and I knew a good night’s sleep would help me be the best mum possible,' she says.

Fortunately, she quickly discovered Happiest Baby’s military discount during pregnancy and decided to order SNOO. That way, when her little one—baby Lucy—arrived a few months later, she was ready! 

Lucy loved SNOO and started sleeping through the night as soon as she surpassed her birth weight at just a week-and-a-half!

By the time Emily’s husband left for deployment, Lucy was sleeping from about 6:30pm to 7:00am. Emily says that seeing her daughter’s stretches of sleep on the app has been incredibly satisfying. 

“People always ask how’s your baby sleeping, and I say, ‘here you can look!’ I show them the sleep logs and they’re blown away,” she says.

'That made me feel a lot better, especially as time went on and Lucy became more mobile,' she says. 'I didn’t have to worry if she was safe in SNOO or not. We didn’t even have video monitor—we had an audio monitor—that’s how safe and secure we felt.'

At 5 months—and after more than 1,500 hours of logged sleep!—Emily moved Lucy to the cot, which she describes as a 'magical transition.'
