SNOO Safety Reminders

It goes without saying that your baby’s safety is of the utmost importance. At Happiest Baby, we’re obsessively committed to your baby’s safety. We want to make sure parents have all the information they need to create a safe sleeping environment for their babies, so the whole family can rest easier.

Is SNOO safe?

We spent 7 years building and perfecting SNOO before bringing it to millions of parents around the world. Since its release, SNOO is the only baby bed that features a secure swaddle that, when clipped in, keeps babies on the back (the only safe sleeping position for babies).

With that in mind, below you’ll find a number of general baby bed safety tips. Please make sure to use these safety tips with SNOO...though many also apply to other baby beds, bassinets, and sleepers.

General Baby Bed Safety Tips

• Always keep SNOO on a flat even surface.
• Put the power cable holder on the leg closest to the electric wall socket to prevent tripping.
• Never place anything under SNOO mattress or legs...except for SNOO Smart Sleeper Leg Lifters. SNOO Leg Lifters raise the head of the bassinet on a slight, safe incline. They can be used for babies whose doctors recommend elevating the head.
• Do not put other blankets, toys or items in SNOO, as advised by the American Academy of Pediatrics to prevent suffocation and strangulation risks.
• It is only safe to use the SNOO Sack with the zipper fully closed at the top and bottom.
• Upon laying your baby down in SNOO—whether the bassinet is on or off—always secure SNOO Sack’s wings to the clips to ensure your child is safe.
