    Understanding Attachment Styles

From the first sleepy snuggles to the fifteenth diaper change of the day, your baby is learning one big lesson: “When I signal, does someone come?”

The start of October means a few things: Spring is officially underway, Halloween is around the corner, and holiday preparations are beginning. In other words, it’s a great month for a birthday! If you’ve got a little pumpkin on the way, you’ll want to brush up on these October birthday facts…

Your October baby will be a Libra or Scorpio.

If your baby’s birthday falls at the beginning of the month, they’re a balanced, social and fair-minded Libra. After October 22nd your little one falls under the passionate and powerful Scorpio sign.

    October babies have two birthstones.

October babies get double the gems! Tourmaline and opal are their shimmering stones. Both are versatile and a little off the beaten path.

October babies also have two birth flowers.

Marigolds, also known as Calendula, are the birth flower of October. You’ll often find this yellow-hued flower used in healing lotions. And, October babies have a second flower: perky Cosmos!

    October babies have athletic potential.

Babies born during the spring are often stronger and more athletic than winter-born bubs. The athletic edge is likely due to being older and bigger than the other kids in their class, as well as getting started in sports earlier.

Your October baby may live to be 100!

Babies born from September to November are more likely to make it to the big 1-0-0 than those born in other months.

Your October baby is in good company.

Even if your October baby doesn’t make it to the Oval Office, they’ve got star power on their side. Bruno Mars, Matt Damon, Lena Headey, Gwen Stefani, Kim Kardashian, Drake, and Brie Larson all celebrate October birthdays!

Was your October baby born early or late?

If you have any medical questions and concerns about your child or yourself, please contact your health provider. Breastmilk is the best source of nutrition for babies. It is important that, in preparation for and during breastfeeding, mothers eat a healthy, balanced diet. Combined breast- and bottle-feeding in the first weeks of life may reduce the supply of a mother's breastmilk and reversing the decision not to breastfeed is difficult. If you do decide to use infant formula, you should follow instructions carefully.
